Educator Preparation & Professional Learning Community of Practice
The Reading League hosts monthly virtual meetings for faculty from educator preparation programs and literacy coaches who support statewide or regional training initiatives. During these meetings, expert presenters, including researchers, authors, and higher education faculty, present highly engaging and relevant content for the group. Additionally, participants share resources such as sample syllabi and course outlines, offer feedback and advice, and discuss challenges.
When: Second Friday of each month, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. ET

English Learners/Emergent Bilingual Community of Practice
TRL invites professionals who support English learners/emergent bilingual students to attend a collegial monthly meeting online to discuss research, articles, and readings about language and literacy needs. Former guests include Linnea Ehri, P.D. Pearson and Rob Tierney, Elsa Cardenas-Hagan, Sylvia Linan-Thompson, and David Share—and our future guests promise to be equally engaging and knowledgeable.
