Reading Buddies is an early childhood show on YouTube and some PBS stations. Dott, Alphabott, and the Alphabotteers use the science of reading to help Dusty the dog learn to read.
The Reading League developed this open-access television show as an early literacy resource for learning phoneme awareness (the ability to hear and identify the smallest sounds in spoken words), letter names and sounds, letter formation, rich vocabulary, and how to blend sounds to read words. Characters on the show also develop language by making up stories, practicing social skills, and so much more.
